Those Special Favorites

A thank you to those most-special anime

One of the not-so-fun things when it comes to anime (or any other artistic medium) is the realization that I won’t be able to watch every single project or see each show available to me. I just don’t have the time in my life to do so, and anime will still be here after I’m no longer around, creating new stories for people to enjoy in my absence.

But it’s not all doom and gloom. Far from it.

Which leads to one of the happiest things about anime: finding those special experiences. Sometimes we pick up an anime that isn’t that great overall, or maybe one of them happens to be pretty good but not quite amazing. However, when we do discover that incredible journey, that powerful connection, it’s a truly wonderful feeling to behold.

Because despite the lack of time at our disposal, and regardless of the huge amount of anime to sift through, we managed to find this important piece.

So, as you prepare for the next new season or finally decide to get some of those items off your plan-to-watch catalog, don’t be sad about the anime you may never get to experience or those which end up less-than-ideal. Instead, be happy for the anime that are more special to you than any of the others at this very moment.

For they make anime the medium we all know and love so much.
