Anime has been getting quite popular in recent years!
With the increasing access to shows through streaming sites, better translations overall, meme culture in general, the advent of VTubers emulating the style to an extent, and so on, it’s not all that surprising to make the above statement. Anime has always had its fans, and the stories told within it have certainly been around for a long time now. But it really feels as if the medium has exploded as of late with newcomers and veterans alike able to enjoy the boom.
What does everyone think about the rise in popularity of anime? Do you find it to be a boon? Will we see anime become even more mainstream over the next ten years? What sort of changes do you foresee as a result of this popular increase?
